The process is simple: Observe. – your breath, your bodily sensations, your thoughts. Write. Keep your hand moving. Don’t edit. Practice asana. Observe. Write. Optional: read aloud what you’ve written. Repeat. The workshop is facilitated by Zo Newell, author of Downward Dogs and Warriors: Wisdom Tales for Modern Yogis, and a longtime writer/reader and practicer of asana and yoga philosophy. Zo specializes in restorative and therapeutic yoga practices for women. She is a huge fan of Natalie Goldberg, author of Writing Down the Bones, Wild Mind, Old Friend from Far Away, and other books on the writing/meditating life. Zo is also an RTY-500 and a certified Level II Relax and Renew trainer. This workshop may be used as teacher-training hours or CEU’s for Yoga Alliance, with the completion of a written assessment; talk with Zo if you are interested in this option.
